Attendance:
Perfect attendance:50 points
Absent two classes or less = 25 points
Absent four classes periods or more = possible drop from class.
Interview:Interview a classroom teacher who is teaching preschool through grade twelve.Write a 2-4 page paper describing this teacher’s teaching experience.All papers must be typed in standard MLA format.
Philosophy:Compose your personal philosophy of education.Write a 2-4 page paper relating what you think is important.Learning theories should be mentioned in relation to your personal learning style.
Observation:Visit at least four sites to gather information about educational programs and their effectiveness.Ensure that you receive permission from the building administration, and follow protocol in gaining access to the campus.Documentation and 2-4 page summary of experience must be complete in order to receive full credit for this assignment.
Class Participation:During each week’s discussion, you need to participate a minimum of three times.The quality and depth of your responses in addition to the number of time you respond or pose questions will be taken into account in determining your grade.
